How Volunteers are Improving Your Fraternity

Phi Kappa Sigma is maintaining its focus on increasing our volunteer ranks, without whom our continued success would not be possible. By growing our volunteer base, alumni members have more of a reason to stay involved and engaged by the Fraternity while also reducing the time commitment and stress of our current volunteer pool.

Wide ranges of opportunities exist wherever our chapters and colonies exist that fit your specific skill set, and the Fraternity prides itself on incorporating volunteer expertise at every level. If you are interested in giving the gift of time, we will work to cater to your skill set and availability. For more information or to express an interest, please contact the Fraternity at or by phone at (317) 853-1234.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

the Delta Program is being revamped with redrawn regions, few deltas, and more opportunities for you to get involved as an assistant grand delta. This is a regional position, and assistant deltas will be responsible for servicing those chapters closest to their physical location. There are 20 vacant positions across the U.S. and Canada. Volunteers enjoy an opportunity to help their local Phi Kap brothers and many opportunities to get involved as a future chapter advisors and Executive Board members.

Grand Chapter Planning Committees

Committees meet on a regular basis via conference call to brainstorm and plan programs for undergraduates, alumni, spouses, and general social events during the 100th Grand Chapter in Philadelphia (Summer 2020). This opportunity is open to undergraduate and alumni Phi Kaps.

Special Services Volunteer

This is an informal opportunity for anyone that has special skills or services that the Fraternity needs. Examples include web site development, printing services, marketing, leadership training, etc. This opportunity is open to undergraduate and alumni Phi Kaps.

Chapter & Chapter Advisory Boards

Chapter Advisors hold chapters together as our membership transitions every four years.

The purpose of an Alumni Advisory Board is to provide ongoing support and assistance to the undergraduate chapter. Splitting the duties among several alumni will lessen the time commitment for each alumnus, as well as increase the overall support available to the undergraduate members. Traditionally, although some boards develop different structures, each member of the board works individually with one chapter officer to support his efforts, and act as a member for that office. As a board, the alumni work with the chapter officers to establish goals, monitors progress, and help the Chapter grow and develop.
