For the past few weeks, Brothers all across North America have been taking the “Brotherhood Facebook Challenge”. In this challenge, we are supposed to share 7 favorite memories with Phi Kappa Sigma. I really enjoyed this because it gave our Brothers the opportunity to share what was very impactful to them thus far as a member.
With a lot of bad media going around about Greek life, we as Phi Kaps had the opportunity to flood our friend’s and families’ social media pages with all of the great things this Fraternity has done for us. That being said, I wanted to take this opportunity to use this blog post as a means of starting the challenge.
Day 1 - Since it is my first post, I wanted to go back to the day we got colonized. This was the first step on my journey as a member of Phi Kappa Sigma. The Fraternity has been such a big impact on my life and I can still remember the day I got pinned along with getting colonized. At the time I understood the concept of a fraternity but did not know how much it would mean to me. Because of our colonization it helped me understand what kind of organization I was joining but at the same time I got the opportunity to build and grow an organization for future brothers.
